On my list of favorite places to photograph in the Smoky Mountains National Park had to have been the old Mingus Mill off Newfound Gap Road. The old mill was supposed to have been open, but because of Covid, the interior was closed. It was late in the afternoon, and there were numbers of people hanging around which made getting the shot a patience game, but I finally was able to photograph the old historic Tennessee mill looking down the old water trace capturing wonderful water patterns using a long exposure.

Built in 1886, this historic grist mill uses a water-powered turbine instead of a water wheel to power all of the machinery in the building.
